About noobtunnel

noobtunnel is a self-hosted networking project developed and maintained as an independent project. It brings a control node, device agents, a private WireGuard mesh and service publishing into one application. This site is the public entry point to the hosted service.

What the project does

An agent connects a device to the control node. Enrolled devices receive private mesh addresses and can communicate directly when their networks allow it. When a direct connection cannot be established, traffic uses a POP relay. A POP is a point of presence: a location running a control node and mesh hub.

Service publishing is a separate feature. You select an agent and a local service, then publish it through a public exit address using HTTP, HTTPS, TCP or UDP. This lets a service behind a home router accept connections without forwarding ports on that router.

What to expect

The network is actively developed. Available locations appear on the home page; the pricing page describes current free allowances and planned Pro features. Pro is not currently available for purchase. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a dedicated connection speed.

noobtunnel is inspired by other mesh and tunnel projects, but its routing, publishing and management features are implemented here. It is not affiliated with Tailscale or Pangolin.
